Membership in Greater Harrisburg Chorus means more than a place to sing. It's also about becoming part of a community of women. The chorus extends its support to each other in a variety of ways.

Angel Fund

     The Angel Fund is a financial safety net that is funded by the chorus and available to members in need. Members should approach the Angel Fund coordinator privately to discuss needs and ways the Angel Fund might be useful. The Angel Fund manager will coordinate with the Financial coordinator on your behalf.

     Members who receive money from the Angel Fund are expected, but not required, to repay the chorus. There is a cap on how much a member can borrow, as well as how often. Angel Fund money is not to be used to pay chorus dues.

     Members are encouraged to donate to the Angel Fund. Donations can be turned over to the Financial Coordinator at any time. Please clearly indicate that you are making a donation to the Angel Fund. The Board of Directors may earmark money to the Angel Fund, and occasional fundraisers are dedicated to building the balance of the fund, as well.

Alicia Weiland has tendered her resignation as of April 30, 2008. Alicia has been a member of Greater Harrisburg for 21 years. She is moving into chapter at large status and will remain in Sweet Adelines. Please send Alicia off with your best wishes.

Beginning May 1, several new members will officially be on GH's books. For those wondering what is so magic about May 1, that is the beginning of the fiscal year. By joining after April 30, we're giving our dual and transferring members a chance to fulfill their commitments to other choruses before diving into GH with both feet as we make the push to Hawaii and beyond!
