Claire tells us to download music from our own learning library. What does she mean, and how do I do it?
A download copies a file from one computer to another. Once you download a file, it is in your computer. You want to download songs so that when you listen to them, they play without interruption. Files that are downloaded also can be placed on CDs and digital music units such as Ipods and .mp3 players.
For those with high-speed connections (cable or DSL), a download takes seconds. For dial-up users, it takes longer.
Your computer mouse has two buttons on the top. The left button (under your index finger) is the one used most often. The right button (under your middle finger) will bring up other functions.
Now, follow these steps:
Insert the password. (If you don't know it, email Maggie.)
Click the word SUBMIT.
A webpage titled Repertoire list will open.
Scroll down to the song you want.
Click on the title of the song. A webpage will open.
Click on the track you want to download.
Right-click the link
Select Keep Target As ... (Or "Save Target As ...")
Choose a location to download the song into your computer. Suggestion: Set up a GH Music folder inside your My Documents folder.
Hit OK to begin download.
Dial-up users, just walk away and let the download happen. It will take quite a few minutes. Look back to see when it is completed.
Repeat procedure for all the tracks you want.
